Ziel des Projekts ist der Aufbau einer Onlinedatenbank zur bibliographischen Erfassung und Verschlagwortung aufführungspraktisch relevanter musikhistorischer Textquellen. Dabei geht es nicht um die bloße Bereitstellung von Digitalisaten oder bibliographischer Information, sondern um die Kontextualisierung und die zusammenfassende Reflexion von Inhalten sowie deren Zugänglichmachung für eine digitale Suchfunktion. Die Artikel werden sowohl durch Studierende im Rahmen des Seminars „Quellenkunde“ an der Folkwang Universität der Künste als auch durch Forschende der für die historisch informierte musikalische Aufführungspraxis relevanten Disziplinen verfasst. Da so semesterweise neue Beiträge entstehen, sieht sich das Projekt als „work-in-progress“, dessen Qualitätssicherung durch ein permanentes Lektorat von Projektmitarbeitenden und Lehrenden gewährleistet werden soll. Qualitativ nicht ausreichende Beiträge, wie sie in einem Lehrkontext entstehen können, werden durch lektorierende Mitarbeitende sowie den Antragsteller (ggf. unter Mitarbeit des verfassenden Studierenden) sachdienlich überarbeitet.

The aim of the project is the development of an online database for the bibliographic recording and indexing of music-historical text sources relevant to performance practice. The aim is not merely to provide digital copies or bibliographic information, but to contextualize and summarize the content and make it accessible for a digital search function. The articles are written both by students in the context of the seminar „Quellenkunde“ at the Folkwang University of the Arts and by researchers in disciplines relevant to historically informed musical performance practice. Since new contributions are thus produced every semester, the project sees itself as a „work-in-progress“ whose quality assurance is to be ensured by a permanent editing process of project staff and teachers. Qualitatively insufficient contributions, as they may arise in a teaching context, will be appropriately revised by proofreading staff as well as the applicant (possibly with the collaboration of the student).
